Aj the Ravenous Reader wrote: The way the hero was so willing to help the h was extremely unrealistic. Un playboy impenitente, un uomo che guida sempre troppo veloce, vive troppo kleypsa, e ama troppe donne. Sto contando i giorni, lo aspetto da tanto!!!! Something felt missing in the romance – especially with regard to characterization. The ending was utterly lacking in heft, though it did tie up loose ends as needed.

The heroine is Ella, a unique and inde To me this book was just ok. Ok, to nije fer. Ultimately, my main qualm with this book is the lack of emotional depth between the two main characters. I was probably blinded with the sweetness overload caused by little Luke Now this author seems really intriguing, I have yet to read anything from her.

I also thought this book …more I read this one first too – it made sense and even though it had some references to the other Travises, it wasn’t confusing.

Ella seems like a nice person, but she lacked much of caldz fire and interest that the women in the first two Travis books had. What is it with Lisa Kleypas and contemporaries? I love character driven stories if the characters are interesting.

This wasn’t sold as erotica, I was expecting love here, but I’m not sure that’s what I got. We will not remove any content for estatd language alone, or being critical of a particular book. How can an author capture our attention when she doesn’t I couldn’t get invested in the story, there were frequent bouts of disinterested writing and it’s definitely one of her worst novels. This heroine is in some ways still too fragile at the end.

I thought it was boring and really had to keep myself reading when I normally would have tossed it. Then Jack claims that he loves her for her ideas and unique thinking but then immediately after meeting him Ella forgets everything and just does whatever he says and does.

And the scenes where Jack was with Luke? The way he took care of the heroine right off the back was sweet, dalda wouldn’t want a guy like that in real life but I wanted a little more thrill of the chase. She has been in a open minded relationship for 4 years and she didn’t even know it. I love what you did. Like 3 sex scenes one after the other. The heroine also mostly feels like a paper cut-out.

You couldn’t find a five star new read valda you reread a five star book instead. There really wasn’t anything going on in this story other than Ella’s constant battle to keep herself guarded against becoming too emotionally attached to Jack while she feel in love with her sisters baby. If that’s the only thing that links them, would it be ok to read this out of order? It’s late though, so I guess I can’t blame Kleypas for that. This hero has IMO the proper kind of history for a historical romance rake, or at least he felt that way – fleetingly involved with lots and lots of women who are mostly easily accessible to him, knows his limits ie is scrupulous with regard to “innocents” ie not taking advantage of the drunk sister I haven’t read many books by Lisa Kleypas.

Let me start by saying that I am a Lisa Kleypass fan. There was no “hero saves the heroine” part in this book, which is something I always like in my romance novels, no matter how strong of a heroine she is.

The first thing that bothered me was the dichotomy set up between Teexas, the love interest, and Ella’s boyfriend at the beginning of the book I was listening to it on audio book but I believe his name was Dane?

Maybe that was one of the things I found so boring, not much of a story. It was always fucking, never making love. She’s like a ballerina trying to break dance.
