I love the family aspect to her character- her mom, dad, and the three Tonys.

I find that the semicolon also works nicely when trying to consolidate a sentence or two. Accused is the most recent in a long line of Rosato and Associates books by Lisa Scottoline and one which should not be read before any of the others in the series. Books by Lisa Scottoline. How can she justify this potentially free case when she has just been named partner in the firm and how can she handle her engagement and the excitement that everyone feels, except her.
Sorry, I just couldn’t deal with the shotty writing. Liked it, but it could have been better. There are many long conversations that are unnecessary and make the book drag.
I’ve read and loved many of your works. Be the first to discover new talent! The first in this series is Accused and Mary has just been promoted to partner. Can Mary prove to her friends that Allegra isn’t crazy and that her family are hiding something? I slowed up again near the end so I would see how the events were cleared up.
It’s the first book in a new series but my understanding is that it’s a spin off series. She is convinced that the young man behind bars is innocent. Have Mary get married in Vegas or at City Hall before the next book so I don’t have to read any more about this situation. I’m giving a two star rating simply because the book managed to keep my interest long enough to finish it. I liked some of the humor, but I was not accysed to the characters. However, the ending was abrupt- this was a book that could have been saved by a twist, an unpredictable ending.

This book for me was like watching tv. I did not enjoy most of the characters in this book, and really didn’t like the main characters parents. It is billed as a Rosato and Associates book, but beware Despite the issues I had, Damaged is recommended.

I don’t know, it’s really hard to put my finger on the root cause. It is my first Scottoline book, and I thought her books were action-packed and disturbing thrillers. Scottoline spends at least half of the book wallowing in the histrionics of DiNunzio and her colorful family, at the expense of the story line.
Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. I will continue the series as I want to learn about these ladies, especially Bennie who is an enigma to me. Cutesy all girl lawyer group solve wronged imprisonment. I would consider her books a must read unless it is the drivel, dreary, negatively, stereotypical bore that is Accused. I’m not sure how she became a partner in the firm because a she doesn’t seem to know much about the law, b she seems like a shrinking violet, only really speaking up because she starts to really love and care for her year-old cli Compared to some of the very clever mysteries I’ve read lately, this fell way short.
I’m sorry, but the whole book felt juvenile to me. I really enjoyed the parts focused on the actual murder investigation — the plot there was good and I wish it had been better explored — but I had a hard time staying engaged whenever the story drifted off into the other matters that didn’t really offer much to the progression of the novel.
One This has to be my least favorite Scottoline book. In Accused, a 15 year old girl comes to the firm asking that they hunt down the real killer of her sister and help to release Legal Lite I’m not sure what to say about this book.
The characters are always ones you can relate to and wish they were your friends and family, most of the time. It was my first scottolind to read something from the author so I have no benchmark of her other works.
Part of it was the annoying tone of the narrator, but she didn’t have much to work with. So many reviewers have complained about January LaVoy’s narration so I will comment on that first. Lisa has over 30 million copies ny her books in print and is published in over 35 countries.
