The technology and terminology of sustainability have evolved so much, and the language of Ecotopia has been left behind.
I rate it with a 3 because it is no literary masterpiece but I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever dreamed of West coast succession. Like building a sand castle with dry sand. Gender equality, government-subsidised minimum standards of living, the movement towards a reduction in standard working hours, many different ecological movements – they’re all mentioned here, as well as so many more progressive and equalitarian ideals.

I started reading this book a little while ago, and before finishing it, I learned of David’s death.
