They are still very interesting but I can’t help comparing Iggulden’s battle descriptions with Bernard Cornwell. The fact we start with the iggulven of a minor character is a good signpost for the rest of the book.
Conn has managed to present this phenomenal era of history in a very captivating manner indeed. I gave it a second shot recently solely because I remember liking the first thw a lot and I spent like fifteen bucks on this shit.
